Do You Need a Dehumidifier or a Moisture Absorber?
Most roundups skip this question and just rank within one category. Here it's asked directly, including the honest answer that sometimes neither product is the fix.
Work through these in order
- Is there standing water or an active leak? If yes, stop here -- this needs professional remediation, not a purchase. Neither product fixes a bulk water source.
- How big is the space, and how consistently damp is it? Small, enclosed, or only occasionally damp points toward a moisture absorber. Large or continuously damp (sustained above the mold-risk threshold on a real reading) points toward active removal.
